Christie Pearson is an artist, architect, writer, teacher and urban interventionist. She is a Partner in the design firm Team Project, founding member and editor of the journal Scapegoat: Architecture, Landscape, Political Economy and Adjunct Professor at the School of Architecture, University of Waterloo.

Pairs of photographs adjust focal depth to reveal new spaces as the cinematic eye intersects the photographic still. The architectural devices of the screen, door, window, and mirror are explored. While materials that hold depth and a multiplicity of readings rely on an active observer, the spatial collapse of the photograph enacts some of this work for you.
